This is the Biggest Thing I See Holding People Back Fear Of Failure In Online Network Marketing
In a previous post I talked about the daily activity of building skill and practicing that skill in the Oscar Effect. I advise you go back and read that as well. The post yesterday was about helping you learn to build relationships using Social Media. Often my posts relate to each other.

Did you catch some of the key things that Randy talked about in the video? What would be the worst thing that could happen? I have found the biggest thing people are afraid of is fear of spending money because fear of failure in online network marketing. I think they believe that they are afraid they will loose money and often they do loose just because they believed that!
A story to help: I was using credit to build my business in my real early online network marketing career! My biggest fear was when I would no longer have any credit then I would have to go out and talk to strangers in the mall or the Walmart. I remember one of the leaders saying what is the worst that could happen? You could loose your house? Would you be on the street? I thought that was harsh! But here is the thing, when I did actually get to the end of my credit, the worst thing that happened, is we had to pay it back, and I had to find a different way, which means I went exploring on the internet, and found Social Media! Now I don't think that was a bad thing looking back, although at the time it felt pretty bad!
There Might Be A Good Reason To Fail In Your Online Network Marketing
Maybe as Randy talked about there is a need for a course correction, in other words a need to change the behavior the beliefs and the action! Sometimes it helps to play out the scenario of what would happen if you fail? Would it really be as bad as you think?
A story to help: I was in one of my most earliest online network marketing and their main method of getting leads was buying them, and were talking very expensive too. I to this day do not know how I did it, well yes I do, I maxed all of my cards. One day I got to the end of my credit. I had to do what I was most afraid of, go out into Walmarts or convenience stores, and talk to people. Although I would never recommend that, I am glad I had to do that, for a while, because it got me over some big fears!
Most People Really Have A Fear Of Success In Their Online Network Marketing
Again like Randy said most people are afraid of the responsibility of success! They are afraid that they will not have the facility to care for those under their care in their online network marketing.
A story to help: When I first got started in my online network marketing career, I excelled fast, and with that came more responsibility, I was put on calls to help all of the new people. Now the system I was part of trained all the new people in one system, there wasn't a lot of personal hands on, with the new people. So here I am on these calls, scared to death! You know at first I wasn't good at it, I fell on my face a lot in my online network marketing, especially in those calls! You know now though I am so glad I had that experience, because I am not afraid to make calls to train people! You just never know what some of these things will do towards your future!
How Falling Off My Bike Taught Me About Online Network Marketing!
Yesterday I talked about The Ziggy Method of Engagement, and this goes along with that.
When I was a little girl I had a bike like most kids. We spent hours on our bikes until it was time to go to bed in fact.
When I was married again to my husband he likes to bike so he got me a shinny new 13-sped bike. Well what did I do? I applied the OLD HABITS to the new bike! Obviously that didn't work very and I flew over my handle bars and fell on my face because I applied the left brake to hard!
Why The Oscar Effect To Your Online Network Marketing?
Now if you have been watching the Oscars for any time at all, there is a method to it. It is never an accident when someone wins one of those. And also keep in mind it is something they go after because they want to have that on their resume. So they lobby, they work and of course it goes without saying that they hone their skills! While that was going on actually, I have to admit, I was on a training honing my skills. Because I have learned that what really determines your win, is those critical online network marketing skills!
Just as it was a key thing to learn the right way to ride my new bike in order to be successful, it is really seriously important to apply the right steps to your online network marketing. And another very key thing is to realize that you cannot use the same methods that might have worked in the past, if at all. For instance, when we invite people to an online event, it works best if we have had some kind of personal contact with them before inviting them to your presentation. I see people, particularly on Facebook inviting everyone! That doesn't work any better than to send out an invitation to everyone on your Christmas list!
More "Oscar Effect" In Online Marketing Skills
So rather than have a hit and miss, splatter effect in your online network marketing, its really about learning real skills and aligning with leaders that can help you do that. In the Oscars, those who win, have people that work with them all the time, to get better at what they do.
I made the leaderboard in MLSP this past week, I did that because instead of pushing thousands into my list and hoping a few would join, I had personal contact with a few, and helped them, and so they joined me. We could call that the Oscar Effect, because what happens in the Oscars is not an accident, but real skill being judged by experts. When we have the real skills in online network marketing, we can build real success rather quickly!
The Oscars are awarded to those who hone their skills and then are aligned with the best teachers and trainers. That is also true with the winners in online network marketing, they must align with the best leaders and hone their skills as well.
Applying The Oscar Effect In Online Marketing Skills
Everything that is important is about taking steps and build your online network marketing skills, in the book Slight Edge by Jeff Olson, he talks about that. We are either on the upward curve going towards success, or the downward curve going towards failure. There is no holding place in between. It's about our skills, and the practice, and a willingness to keep going even when we have some failure. In online network marketing it is about learning skills, practicing those skills and then taking on a new skill by the same process, of learning, and applying.
In this profession it's possible to do it alone, by trial and error, or you can go and get help. I laugh because my husband hates to ask for help or directions, we get lost a lot when we go somewhere! I found early on that getting lost or following others that are lost is just not fun, and it's fruitless; it's wasting your time. I prefer to be aligned with leaders that have already mastered those skills in their online network marketing and then I have a clear pattern to follow, which of course allows me to have that to share with those who follow me!

I talked about burning the bridges in my short video above. Many times I see people stalled because they are not focused on their present commitment to their business. They either put an impossible deadline on achieving the big numbers, or they let fear get in the way. But we do create what we are committed to. Actually one of the major factors to success in online network marketing is the commitment that you bring. I have to say that unfortunately, many have not really learned to be totally committed, because in the job world, we lived fat. What I mean by that is that jobs were plentiful, and if we were not happy where we were, we could quit easily and go find another, and most times we did get that other job easily, but that was then, now it has changed. We simply cannot bring that same mentality into a business.
Why Dreaming Must Go Hand In Hand With Commitment To Your Online Network Marketing
We hear all the time about setting goals and dreaming. The missing piece often is a real commitment to those dreams and goals. Now if you didn’t know commitment is an action word. In order for your online network marketing efforts to create success, you must move beyond the dream and goal stage to a commitment, a burning of the bridges of the past, and the action not for a short time but all the way to that success! And the true test to whether you are committed or not to your online network marketing is whether you do it when there is no one to monitor you, but you! The true success will be measured by that commitment level and the action that is taken because of it!
When Dreaming+Goals+Commitment+Action Are Mixed, You Have A Vision!
Your vision is more than just a strategy in your online network marketing. A vision is what you believe you can become and what you can create! It is beyond money. It is believing you can live a better life, but it is also believing that you can change the world! When you start moving beyond yourself you start to have vision! It starts with that commitment and builds from there, based on your action and you refusal to give up through the small failures as you learn new skills in your online network marketing. It comes when you reach a level of competency, and higher belief!

What Does It Mean To Be Fully Intentional In Online Network Marketing?
What does that word mean intention? Well I consulted with Wikipedia and this is what came up: Intentional behavior can also be just thoughtful and deliberate goal-directedness. Recent research in experimental philosophy has shown that other factors may also matter for whether or not an action is counted as intentional.
So How Can You Be Fully Intentional In Online Network Marketing?

We talk a lot about belief, and how we can create what we want starting there, and intention is tied into that belief. We can want the moon but we may not actually become intentional in online network marketing because our real intention is to give into our fear of rejection! We may intent to go to talk to a certain number of people about our business but unless we actually start to take action and push through our fears or feelings of inadequacy we never become intentional in online network marketing. In a recent post I talked about how my actions lead to either failure or success!
Commitment Helps Us To Become Intentional In Online Network Marketing
Okay you are probably wondering what I mean by commitment! I grew up in a world where when we said we were going to do something we did. We followed through; we knew that the consequences were real. The world has changed and many do not have the kind of commitment it takes to really become intentional in online network marketing. In order to truly become intentional, you must keep your promises and your commitments. And that includes the commitments and promises you make to yourself.
Maybe you don’t think it will hurt you to break promises you made to yourself but I can tell you yes it does matter it takes a chunk out of your integrity and it will show to everyone around you. I can tell you that from personal experience that there is a very high price to pay when you don’t keep your commitments to yourself, you really stop being intentional in your online network marketing, or for that matter anything you do.
So What Does This Really Mean To Be Intentional In Online Network Marketing?
Or in other words, so what: The so what in this is that in order to build a sustainable team using the internet you have to be intentional, you have to keep your commitments especially the ones that you make to yourself. You want to make it a goal to become fully intentional in your online network marketing by being in action every day. There must be a process: that process is learning, growing and taking action, not just when it is convenient but all through the process. Push through your fear, and your reservations, because I promise that on the other side is freedom!
