Why did I decide to enter one of the most difficult contests in MLM history? You have been a follower of LyndaCromar.com for some time, right? Well I can see very early that this was not going to be a simpleslam-dunk! There are some big heavy hitters here. Well then why did I do it? Most importantly for you! Yes You! You see if this blog never gets any attention how will we get to know each other? How can we share our experiences, and how can we learn from each other? We started this journey many years ago you and traveling alone on a lonely road. We couldn't see much of what was up ahead of us. The trees stood as sentinals besides us on the road. Sometimes obscuring the road ahead and sometimes allowing a glimpse of what lay ahead. One of the things that we wanted was a better life so we locked arms and we went together.

Sometimes there were many hardships but we continued on our path, holding each other up and building each other. And isn't that what team work is really about? Along the way we found friends to help like David Wood and David Sharpe who started the empowered network. And today as dawn breaks I have something to ask of you!

In MLM Its Critcal To "Not Judge A Book BY Its Cover," Distributors Come In All Kinds Of Packages, We Need To Treat Them All With Respect And Help Them Reach Success!

Yes my title is a mouthful today, I am going to talk to you today about something that is very very serious, and I am passionate about!

I would like to introduce you to Jared. I have a personal relationship with him he is my middle son.

He was born with some problems, and sometime just before his second birthday, with the advise of doctors we had him tested in our Children's Hospital in Denver, CO. He was seriously delayed, still not walking at two, not even using words yet, the word used by doctors was, "seriously delayed."

I went and dutifully sat through weeks of exhaustive tests. It meant going down and paying for parking, and bringing my other son who was 14 months older and a daycare child I took care of. And it was downtown Denver that in itself difficult to navigate!

I tell you this to set up the story, but to go on. After those exhaustive tests, and remember he was not verbal yet, his father and I had a meeting with the PHD doctor in charge of his "case."

Nerve-racking would be putting it mildly the emotions a parent goes through when having to put their child through that, just looking to have a better understanding. Then without too much ground-work the doctor got right to the point. It was in her "learned and expert" opinion that we would be better off with our "limited" resources to place Jared in a home where he could be cared for properly!

I won't go into too much more about that except it definitely hit me like a ton of bricks to say the least. We walked slowly back to where we had parked our car, and discussed it at length. In my mind though there was a screaming voice saying "No I don't believe it!" "I don't accept that!" "I believe there is more to Jared than they can tell by their tests."

To the right is Jared today.
Let me introduce him again. If you didn't know his history, you would never suspect that at one time I worried about his ability to talk. He is almost non-stop talk, lol. He has his own Condo, he gets himself to his own job as a janitor in a government facility in Denver. He rides a bike or a bus to get just about anywhere he wants. He shops for himself, he cooks for himself, he does his own laundry, and he takes his check and puts it into his own checking account and makes purchases with minimal counsel from me from a debit card.

Jared is a self-sufficient and productive adult. He is highly capable of doing many things. He actually functions better sometimes than some that would be called "normal".

What is my point?

Other than being a proud parent, I believe that there are many individuals that get pigeoned into a certain category, or labeled and its usually false. We have no way of knowing what is inside. How much drive, how much determination. We should never ever give up.

Wrapping it up!

Today isn't directly about network marketing but it is in this one sense. Today I shared the gift of my middle child Jared. How many people do we pass up believing they can't do anything for themselves. How many do we give up on? Maybe it might take a little more effort, patience and diligence. But what might be the rewards if we do that? Might we find that he/she grew into someone that can do it with just a little extra coaching?

There have been people in my life who have believed when there was no evidence. And there have been people who gave up because they were impatient. Who was right? I know that I have much more in me than those who gave up can possibly guess, and they gave up on someone of value. Don't be the one who gives up on someone of value in your influence!

MLM Success Depends On Getting And Using The Right Tools, Telling Stories --You Might Call It The Tools Of The Trade!

 I'm a great believer that any tool that enhances communication has profound effects in terms of how people can learn from each other, and how they can achieve the kind of freedoms that they're interested in. Bill Gates

First of All What Do I Mean, Tools of The Trade?

Okay lets take a lumberjack. He has a quota to meet, so many trees, he is going to get paid by the tree. But the tool he has been given is a small house hold hammer. Now hes strong, hes going to give it all hes got, but how many trees is he going to take down with a hammer? Even if he used the claw side? Not many right? Okay next thing hes comes into the Merchantile and says this hammer is not working for me, I am tearing myself up but I have not taken down a single tree, the proprietor say, "I have just the thing for you!" He gets his best chain-saw and gives it to the lumberjack, but there are no instructions.  Now about a day later the lumberjack comes back discouraged, bleeding, and sweaty. "This doesn't work!" he literally shouts, very very upset. The proprietor takes it from him and pulls the chain, the chain-saw fires up belches smoke and the lumberjack jumps back startled. "Wow, I didn't know it could do that." 

Why do I tell this story?

Because many network marketing guru's give you tools, but they don't give you the instructions. They assume you know how to use them. They assume that you are going to tear it up, without any training. They throw a few videos or e-books out there, but there is no instruction manual! 

Here is another illustration:

"I have this great product, I have this great website, its only "blah, blah, blah."  What is wrong with this picture? 

This is someone trying to do the business with either no tools or the wrong tools. He isn't trained. The opportunity may be great, but he doesn't know how to get his message out there. Very soon he will quit, he will assume he did something wrong, when in reality, he didn't have the right tools.

So what is the right tools? One of them is to talk like they think, to Leverage Your Way Into Peoples Heads

People see in pictures. When I say “pink elephant” ... you see a pink elephant in your mind. I could describe it, big trunk, big ears, 4 legs, long tail. I could try to explain it to you. But as soon as I say “pink elephant”, you see that word picture.

If we cut your brain open, we wouldn’t see the word e-l-e-p-h-a-n-t in your mind. Instead, we’d see a picture of this pink elephant.

How about the name, “Marilyn Monroe”? When you say that to a baby boomer, most will picture a blonde-headed lady in a white dress, standing over a subway cover, and the subway underneath is blowing her dress up, showing her beautiful legs. If we cut your brain open, we’d see that picture of Marilyn.

You’ve got to tell your story in pictures. That is what’s real, what gets people’s juices flowing. And the more time you spend actually talking to people about this business, the more stories you will have to tell others.

I strongly recommend that you keep a daily diary of your “events of the day,” where you record a few notes of the stories you’ve heard that day, as you talk with prospects, friends, & family. As you think through these stories, consider what points they illustrate
... because these stories give you a way to leverage yourself into people’s heads.

And that is priceless.

What is a Success Formula?

Steps to take to achieve the success that you want for yourself. There are no secrets here. But I will share what works for me. You can apply what works for you.


 Paint By Numbers.....

A lot of kids love "Paint By Numbers" kits. You know the ones - a beautiful picture on the front of the box. Inside, you have 3 or 4 brushes, maybe 20 different little paint jars, and a board with numbers all over it - each number corresponding to one of the paint jars. Then you just paint by numbers. You don't have to be an artist. Just follow the formula, You can create a pretty nice painting ... almost like you knew what you were doing. So to apply that to network marketing... follow a system that works, use the already created system that is in place. Why invent the wheel over and over again?


Monetized Or System?
Or to Guru or not Guru that is the question?

 I think we have too many Guru's have you noticed that the genuine ones the leaders that you really want to follow don't use that word, they are humble and they are willing to learn from others! Does that tell you something. You know anyone can create a blog, and actually there are some pretty good ones out there, Notice what is on the side panels, lots of things to click on that you will pay for, hmmmm.

Establishing An MLM identity That Is Authentically You

WHO ARE YOU? DO YOU WEAR MORE THAN ONE IDENTITY?


In the movie we know that the character played by Jim Carrey: Bank clerk Stanley Ipkiss is transformed into a manic super-hero when he finds an ancient mask and puts it onto his face, at first he has a great time and has fun, later it becomes an addiction.


I bring this up because I've been around a very long time in the network marketing or better MLM world. I have seen many people actually go under, and I have nearly done that in the past, because I started to be sucked into another's persona and nearly lost mine!


I have found that that would be a form of lying. If you let someone else "mold you and change you, and you lose what makes you the unique persona that you truly are.


Here is one very critical thing, people are going to have faith in you, because they have lost their faith in almost everything else. They are coming to you for some help, they need an anchor. The only way that you can be that, is to be real. That means who you are doesn't change. Now that doesn't mean you don't work on getting better building your self-esteem and self-image and self-confidence. In fact, that is very critical that you do. As you start moving into the role of leader, coach and mentor, which if you are serious about building a big check, you will, you must build up yourself.


I have had many old mentors who would try to make those changes in me, and I rebelled. I knew that was not right. So now I can teach you with confidence, to build upon the blocks already in place. Maybe they have to be stacked different, but you will be doing the stacking. And if there are masks that are there for the false belief of need for protection, there may be a need to examine if they actually help or hinder, but again you will be doing that examination.

Why You Starting a Home Based Business Can Be A SCARRY Step For You

I remember the first day I ever considered starting a new business. I made so many mistakes, lol. It was comical really! There was a big problem though the system that they used was really broken, it didn't work. Unfortunately the leaders have not really caught up with the revolution that is taking place on the internet now. It doesn't matter you can have the very best tools, and yet not be successful, I know that sounds like a contradiction but it is true. I had no choice to leave the company I loved because they were behind the times! I hope they catch up sometime. In the mean time I found a forward-looking company that does understand how to market in the internet and use the newest methods and tools. They also understand the team concept.


Which bring me to the topic today, which is real team-work and a system that anyone can actually do!


It's tough to find actual, honest-to-goodness duplication in network marketing. Duplication usually goes just 1 level down. Why? Because the system being used is not duplicatable. People think it will be, but it rarely works.





If you truly want to build a profitable M-L-M business with any company, you won't find a better system. Most people who start in network marketing do not have a system that duplicates. Chances of success in that situation are pretty close to zero. "Success In 10 Steps" can make all the difference in your m-l-m future.

In MLM Just As In Life Make Every Moment Count!

Jack: Well, yes, ma'am, I do... I mean, I got everything I need right here with me. I got air in my lungs, a few blank sheets of paper. I mean, I love waking up in the morning not knowing what's gonna happen or, who I'm gonna meet, where I'm gonna wind up. Just the other night I was sleeping under a bridge and now here I am on the grandest ship in the world having champagne with you fine people. I figure life's a gift and I don't intend on wasting it. You don't know what hand you're gonna get dealt next. You learn to take life as it comes at you... to make each day count.

1. Start the day with a strong anticipation that you will have opportunities to share today.  Plan the day use some kind of calendar and write appointments down. This sounds like a no brainer, but if I don't get it into a calendar, its really easy to forget because there is so much going on.
2.  Keep you eyes and ears open as you go through your day, it might actually come from a direction that you don't expect.  I often get phone calls or e-mails from people I have not heard from or I find new ways to do things just by listening and paying attention.
3. Make sure and also be open to places where you frequent often, people are watching you, especially if you have already exposed them to the business.  Make sure I am willing to do business, that sounds funny but there is something inside that may be not so open to new ways to do things.
4. Be prepared, have you materials, hand-outs or samples with you, I have a great little newsletter that is attractive and easy to carry.  It never fails if I don't bring business cards with me or my cell I will meet someone that I wish I had it for. It just doesn't leave the same impression to write on a scrap of paper!  
5. Do it in front of people, be an example, if you have told others about your product, then have it with you, use it in front of people. Like I have a great energy drink that comes in convenient little tubes, I open it pour it into water shake it, and it makes this very interesting green drink, always gets a comment or two! If you are proud of your product, why not be using it in front of people, they will ask, its easier than being a salesman!
6. Listen, and ask questions, be interested in others, they like to talk about themselves and then you find out what their needs are, and you just might find something that you can help them with, then I say "Would you like to do something about that?"  I always try to be really interested in people, be more about finding out about them than telling all about me and my product.
7. I use a sample of my product and a business card as part of the tip. I then make sure I have my server's name. I try to get that same server at least twice, then I approach them on my business.  Waiters love this. Well only if you don't go cheap on the tip, they still need to get that. The sample is a bonus!
8. I had my newsletter with me when I went to the bank, I go to the same banker every time, the last time I gave her that newsletter.I have learned to always be on alert. I asked myself these questions:How can I be of service and how can I help others that will be looking for some help? If I ask it that way many times those opportunities materialize!  This is especially beneficial if you take the time to build a relationship, not as effective on a very first exposure.

Can You Do This For Your Future Dreams

MAKING IT COUNT IS A CONSTANT PROCESS OF SETTING AND REACHING YOUR GOALS
In any business goal-setting is a very serious and important tool that you must learn if you want to be successful in your mlm networking business either online, or offline. Thousands of people want to experience a much more enriched life than the one that is currently unfulfilling. You don't have to continue with what you have if you really desire to change or alter it. Don't be stuck in doing the same old things which get you the same old things over and over again.

In this video today I give you a simple process for setting up your goals:




IF YOU CAN'T PICTURE IT IN EVERY DETAIL THEN HOW DO YOU MAKE IT HAPPEN?
If you don’t really know what you want, how can you make it happen?


A big problem for a lot of people is that what they want is a moving target. That will never work. You have to make a decision, before you can go for it. That’s the only way you can create a strong vision.Writing down a description is the place to start. Make a list of all the things that would make you happy. Everything. Don’t play devil’s advocate - write it all down.  


Picture achieving that goal. In fact, picture it again and again and again and again. As you run through that movie a few hundred times, make a list of everything you see. Every smallest detail. If a question comes up, run the movie by again. Write down the elements that become more clear.


PLAY IT LIKE A MOVIE IN YOUR HEAD, TIME AFTER TIME
Make sure and watch closely, because over time, other smaller elements will become clear. Add them to your list. Start working for this goal after you’ve watched the movie a few times, long before you have every detail totally clear. The harder you work at it, the harder it will be for you to give up.That is the way you set out to get what you want in life.
