HAVE YOU BEEN GIVEN THAT KIND OF DIRECTION?
I bought it hook line and sinker, wow it seemed like a slam dunk, yes my head went dunk, more than once. I followed everything they gave me! I did all of these things in this list:
So Lets talk about what doesn't work:
Spam What is it?
on facebook, on email, and in real life amateur network marketers repeat the same message over and over to people who never raised their hand and asked for it. You see their same message repeated in the newsfeed to all your friends and sisters--people who have never been in network marketing get messages like "Hey, i noticed you're into network marketing why dont you look at my biz here www theNextBigThing com/. Or I get chats a lot, Hi, how are you, here's my link! Yes I did it, before I knew better, it doesn't work, believe me.
*2* Self Interest:
"Hey you're a doctor? let me help you out and fire your boss. Join my biz and you can hand out fliers in the street with me tomorrow morning!"
People arent quick to whip out their credit card and join them because they PRETEND to care when it's obvious they only want to serve one person: themselves.
In fact no effort is even made to find out if the person even wanted to find a business, and if they would be a good candidate.
*3* Pitching before they ask:
As soon as you ask a question about what they do they're cramming their flip chart down your throat and won't stop ringing you. The only way to get rid of them is to get a restraining order. In previous opportunities, I was given a most incredibly pushy script, and given a quota.
*4* Mine is better than yours:
They join your Network Marketing newsletter so they can add your autoresponder's email address to THEIR newsletter and send you info about their biz op. Not sure about your autoresponder program, but mine can't read very well. And it can't unsubscribe. Or in social media, they put you on a list and you start getting all of these smammy messages, ugh!
*5* Hitting the big hitters:
You're driving around town in a sporty car making 5 figure weekly commissions while they still take the bus to business meetings. (They seem to be the only ones not noticing this by the way) They won't stop bugging you about how their comp plan is better than yours and so you should quit your 5-figure a week business and join under them! Well yes I have been told to do this too, and it doesn't work.
*6* No Respect of their time:
They always pretend their time is precious yet they pick up your call on the first ring and they have lots of time to chase you around to drag you to their meeting. Or they call just so they can ask a question, so that they can turn it around and get you looking at theirs.
*7* Desperation:
They SAY they qualify their prospects and they "Don't work with just anyone" but really they're praising jesus every time someone looks at them sideways. Puppy dog yes it can get that bad, don't go there!
*8* Do they have a credit card?
They write a list of requirements they have in a prospect: "has strong desire", "willing to put in 2 hours a day", "ready to learn new skills", and blah blah on and on but the only one that matters is "has a credit card with a limit over $2,300" (the price to join their bizop) Really when I got to thinking about it, that was also the person that either never actually did anything, or disappeared and I never heard from them again, until their business kit appeared on my doorstep!
*9* Put tape on their mouth, or...
You can't take them to any parties--or ANYWHERE--because they try to pitch all your friends the second they meet them. (Why haven't your friends joined your downline yet?) I am not guilty of this one, but oh, it is so annoying!
*10* Coffee, Tea, and here sign here!
They think they can use their Network Marketing business as a pickup tool. Take someone on a "date" (or to the bedroom) and they bring their upline along to give their "date" a presentation. Join my biz? lol get real!
This could be called Idiot Marketing," we always laugh at the people that do this, I am being honest and saying I did it wrong before I knew better, Until I found the perfect formula! It takes the 5th pillar to get it all right. You must have a duplicatable system. What talking to 1500 leads a week isn't duplicatable? Well no, most people are not going to do it, As Michael explained on Saturday, Its a matter of making it simple, like a recipe, if you change it, it doesn't work. I follow the recipe from Mentoring For Free because....
1 - Its simple
2 - It works
3 - It finds real people that actually raise their hand and want help
4 - I don't have to do the things I found painful, I only call the ones who raised their hands.
5 - I don't have to go after friends and family
6 - Best of all I always have good mentors I can call on for help.
Maybe its time for you to get that help to? if you want the e-book that got me started, click here.
Mentoring for Free is a system of caring people that want to help you achieve success in your MLM.
