The Top Ten?

David Letterman's nightly Top 10 List is a comic ritual, and one of the reasons viewers tune in the late night host. The Top 10 countdown has poked fun at celebrities, items in the news, and at various professions. I bring this up because knowing there was a number and that it was easy to understand helped, all through his list we would nod our heads, yes you did so did I. Why because it rang a bell and it made sense! Even his lists were about funny often non-sense things, Mine today is about business success, in particular about MLM success.

My Top 5

Just as David Letterman has a number I have a number. Mine is 5. I am also going to count down from 5. This is what I know to absolutely be key and needs to be there in order to work. You don't have to agree, its really okay, but how hard are you working? Are you looking for it to be a job, or are you looking to work yourself out of a job and have total freedom? That was my question I knew I wanted total freedom, and I knew I didn't want to work forever!

So today is just about my number 5

Number 5 on my list for the top 5 things I want to look for to achieve MLM success in any business I would want to look for is a duplicatable system.

Okay what does that mean? First of all lets be clear I am not talking about people but a system. You can duplicate a system, you can not duplicate you. You only have a certain amount of time that you can be building a business, some times must be for personal use, family use, and downtime.

If you create a system that is dependent on you to make it work, its a job and there is no freedom in that. What I mean by that is it must be :

1. Simple - something anyone can learn to do
2. Teachable - something not only you can teach but at some point those you teach can teach it to their people because at least for me, it must get to a place that I will not always be working like I am right now and I achieve the freedom that is my goal.
3. Value- based - it must have value, and it cannot break the bank. It should be accessible to everyone. It has to be open.
4. Generic - its not just for one company, and can be adapted to many different MLM businesses.
5. Complete - it must have a way to contact people in many different mediums. We hear all the time about auto-responders, which is an automatic - e-mail system that will communicate with your prospects even when you are not available. It must have a way to track your advertising so you know what works and what doesn't work. It must be flexible and changeable. It must be that you have complete control. It must be that you own those leads (wow this is one of the key things.) You must not have you leads locked up in a way that you cannot get them out (download) to your computer and onto a personal list.
6. Training - this is so very very very key. Its great to have a system, but you need to understand every aspect of it, and for most people real people that will train you on how to use it.
7. Total understanding of the rules. Again a real person that will explain it to you.
8. Acceptance - An open understand that you are "You" never anyone trying to mold you into someone you could never see yourself becoming, or goes against your core values!
